DevourX has immense potential for use in mining operations, also referred to as mineral processing, which is the practice of extracting valuable minerals from their ore body.  Mining materials include: bauxite, coal, copper, gold, silver, iron, precious metals, lead, tin, uranium etc..  DevourX performs the final stages of fine grinding at a substantially lower cost than conventional equipment.  It can also remove a number of stages from the fine grinding and extraction process.

Industrial mineral treatment processes usually combine a number of unit operations in order to liberate and separate minerals from the waste rock by exploiting the differences in physical properties of the different minerals that make up an ore body.  Grinding to a fine particle size is an important part of the process of separating minerals from the waste rock, however, the process usually involves further and extensive treatment with dangerous, toxic chemicals and a great deal of water.  The entire process also consumes a massive amount of energy.

DevourX is developing a dry mining process which has the potential to revolutionise the mining industry.  Not only can it dramatically reduce the number of unit operations, it can eliminate the use of dangerous, toxic chemicals.  Some of the benefits of this process include:

DevourX also brings a new dimension to the recovery of minerals from stockpiles of leftover rock material which accumulate at all mine sites and are referred to as tailings.  Where it was previously uneconomic to process these stockpiles, due to the cost of processing exceeding the value of the minerals recovered, DevourX now makes it economically viable.
